anyone hear anything about the bridge collapsing yet? they just started talking about it... cars and people are in the water, dont know how many...

yeah King 5 just said that the entire I-5 bridge both North and South lanes has collapsed.. and people are trapped in the water...
sorry mods, you can move this elsewhere if you would like, its just pertaining to a major river is why i put it here...

 Washington State Patrol confirms an I-5 bridge over the Skagit River has collapsed and at least two cars with people inside are in the water. The incident has closed all northbound and southbound lanes.

yeah im hearing that now Randy... you know how the news is tho... looking at the pictures, its weird, its like a clean sheer off on both sides of the section....
and this comes just after we got a D- in the road infrastructure and being said that 34% of our bridges are past their prime... way past...

Turn on the news, Bridge apparently just collapsed into the river.
I wonder if they'll use this as an excuse to jack up fuel prices...I'm gonna go fill up.

WSDOT keeps stepping on its weiner this year.
The brand new 520 pontoons are cracked and now this. I have heard that a lot of engineers were trying to move over to Bridge Preservation to get away from the heat on the Engineering side because of the 520 fvckup, but now Bridge Pres is going to be under fire.
Transportation secretary's seat is probably on fire this evening.

I've never felt safe on that bridge. Every time I go over it I think of how weak it looks. It just seems out of place compared to other bridges like its too short or something.
