I was down on Salmon River last Thursday. There are some fish around but not as many as I would like to see. Did see a guy and his son come down from the Indian water with a guide and 3 beautiful fish - 12, 14, & 20lb. chromers. Might be worth the $75 - $100 if you really want to tie into them. I've heard that the Tribe has closed off the hatchery creek, so there will be tons of fish there. The river was carrying a fair amount of color on Thursday, there must be a slide upriver because normally after 4 or 5 days of no rain, the Salmon would be gin clear. I fished below Q1000. Lots of people, get there early, the river does not stand much pressure.

Was on the Salmon today. 10 fishermen had 5 steelhead on the rez at 11:00. Slow. The river is med. low & clear. 12 rigs at the park bridge. Don't know how they were doing.
6 rigs with trailers at Hartzel creek boat launch. The Queets had 2 to 3 feet vis. Looked good, nets come out thursday this week.
