Up for sale is a 14-ft. Sage 9-wt., 4-piece Spey rod. I believe it's the second generation of the classic "Brownie." Blank is Graphite III-e, in the "Tiger's Eye" finish.

This is a classic for the beginning Spey caster. Paired with a 550-600 gr. Skagit head, it's a solid performer. This was my first Spey rod. I have since bought a couple more specialized (lighter) rods for the fishing I do most, and this gal rarely comes out of the sock these days, so I figured it was time to sell her.

This rod is not ideal for fishing super heavy sink tips, in my experience, but it is serviceable for that purpose. I think its sweet spot is classic Spey casting, with a full-length head. Great for fishing big rivers for summer runs and salmon. It's a great stick for learning Spey casting.

On to the pics:

As you can see from the pics, everything is in "used" but good condition. At some point, I lost the cap to the rod tube, but everything else is still there.

These things typically sell for about $300 used on eBay. I'll take a little less if it will save me the hassle of shipping, etc., so I'm posting it here first.

PM me if interested.

Edit Reason: Rods come in a "sock," not a "sick."
