Took in all the good advice on Waders (when replacement is needed)however, I am not ready to give up on the pair I have now (5mm neoprene). Question is what is the best repair method or kit avaiable. Does repair work or is it just continuous patch work. Tight Lines

I bought some goop called Aqua Seal at Kaufmann's Streamborn and it worked great. It's like an epoxy. Once it dried, it hardened a bit and I have had no problems with it chipping or falling off. It costs $6.75 for a 1oz tube. The best thing is it's waterproof and flexible after drying.

I had the same problem with my 5mm waders, I got a small leak in them. After finding the hole, I took a pink worm and melted one end letting the hot goo drip into the hole...problem solved.....SO far!

I agree with the plastic worm trick. I have done this to repair my neos and it worked great. You can let it drip right into the hole/tear. I have only used it on smaller leaks, have not had to try it on seams.
One note, you can get clear worms so you can avoid pink polka dots on your waders.

I have had good success with the Hodgman wader repair goop. That stuff lasts, and I haven't had it peel off yet. I also have used it on seams and large tears, after sewing seam/tear with dental floss. Don't remember where I heard the dental floss tip, it might have been here, but it works.

Unwaxed floss should be used for stitching repair. I have a list of various tips of the day on my site, one of which is the boot repair tip using dental floss. http://www.steelheader.net/cgi-bin/hints/hints.pl?listall

Credit where credit is due. I read it on Marty's site. Thanks for the tip, it works. Forgot about the unwaxed part though, oops! Rivers coming into shape, off for the weekend. Oh Boy Oh Joy!
