The fact that the right wing blabbermachine has been saying the same thing for well over the 80 years since that cartoon, and yet none of it has happened, shows just how stupid those are who still believe that crap, and how moronic those who keep saying it are.
Congrats, Slappy.
Fish on...

mfw my well thought out post to appeal to reason flys completely over people's heads and is responded to with irrational primate brain tribal-partisan chest thumping and poo flinging... what else would you expect? It's politics, as long as their team D or R are ahead rational thought does not matter or will be tolerated.

Looks like I'm posting in a troll thread. Not even I am immune from the plague of unrealistic expectations that infects our society today. I guess I should expect something more like this...
1. Post political trollbait to get a rise out of the opposing side. 2. Your trollbait gets a bite as you expected and you get counter-trolled. 3. Post more political trollbait. 4. More counter-trolling ensuses. 5. Wash 6. Rinse 7. Repeat
This goes on ad infinitum, notice that no one ever wins? Then who was troll?

Not that anyone cares but here is just a bit more of the story. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppa...ned-destruction Note that the Lenin figure depicted in Slabs cartoon was but a tiny corner in the original. By the way I noticed a certain resemblance between the Lenin figure and a prominent player on this board.

I love that guy, his satire of conservatards is so spot on you almost forget it's just a comedian playing a character. Funny, I didn't see it quite that way. Do you not see that it could be D. Dial, or Dr. Demento. Wisdom is Wisdom and I think that I can perceive it. I also think that you can. "The significance of this cartoon is that it depicts the visible signs of manipulation by the financial elite that runs America, which was in full control of the country back during the Depression, for decades before that and for the decades leading up to the present." D. Dial

"Both he and Ickes came through Chicago politics and were leaders of the Progressive movement there. Both Ickes and Richberg were key players in pushing the National Industrial Recovery Act which imposed fascist codes of conduct on American industry which dictated how key industries in America were to be run." Funny how the term "Chicago politics" keeps coming up, isn't it?Where have we heard that before? Gee I don't know , how about you Todd?

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.
