Hi everyone...since the reports were all IF'y,and since my fishing friend didn't want to drive far for questionable fish in the water, we opted for the Green...AGAIN! I KNOW...not a ONE of you suggested I go there, but...nothin' seemed to be happening anywhere else either!
I KNOW it's not a very healthy system compared to years past, but, since I'm a Rookie...and it was a glorious day, I thought it would be a perfect time to get in some practice before the rain hits this week!
Water was clear as gin...still some good current...very low!!! A dozen or so anglers out...didn't see any drifters! Fished (err...practiced my fishing techniques) between Flaming Geiser and just around the bend, down river from the big wash out hill.
One guy said he got a nice Nate by the Hwy. 18 bridge early in the morning! That was all the reports of hits!!!
An old timer who's been fishing this river for 45 years said when the rain comes, they'll be flyin' in!!! I'll keep practicing and wait for fish! Learned a lot, and have lots of questions for another post!
