Next week's Fisherman's Heaven show targets the Hatchery Chinook salmon of Icicle Creek in Leavenworth, Washington. This will be a very timely show as we have heard that this year's upcoming run of Chinook in Icicle Creek is supposed to be one of the best ever.

Fisherman's Heaven is on the Outdoor Channel (http://www.outdoorchannel.com) Mondays at 6PM PST, Tuesdays at 9PM PST and Fridays at 10AM PST. If you don't get the Outdoor Channel, ask your cable operator why not!

Thanks,

Kevin Erickson

I've seen this episode and can recommend it. The guide is Rod Bush, the weapon is the sardine wrapped Kwikfish and the scenery is excellent. The boys also catch a couple.

I'm also in the amateur video tackling in a foot or so of water a King that refused to be beached.

Snagly,
When "Spring Kings" was our pilot episode, you were in that show tackling your fish. But when we edited all 13 shows, your legendary clip got used in a different show instead. Can't remember which one off the top of my head.
However, we do have a short ad we use in some shows where we ask for viewers to send in their home video clips and you ARE in that as well so we're getting a lot of mileage out of your Lawrence Taylor-esque sack! That clip brings the house down every time we show someone.
We're fishing with Rob Endsley next weekend, so we'll toast one in your honor.

Stllhdr,
If you know any neighbors just North of you, (in Marysville, Lakewood or Arlington), they will have Cedar Communications and the Outdoor Channel is part of basic cable there. Also, if you know anyone who has the Dish Network, the Outdoor Channel is channel 153.
When we were taping the Icicle River episode, there were many people lobbing eggs from the bank. I did see one hook-up (wham and it was gone), but it didn't seem very effective considering that we saw about 100 people bank-angling that day and that's the only bite we know of. The most popular spot is just below the hatchery.
Backtrolling with qwikfish is definitely the most effective way to fish Icicle Creek. Our guide that day was Rod Bush of River Otter Guide Service (http://www.greatnw.com/riverotter) and I think he'll be doing some trips there again this summer.
Thanks,
Kevin

Yes, we were fishing with Rod Bush of River Otter Guide Service and pulling plugs from his driftboat. He can give you all the info you want (and then some) and his website is at http://www.greatnw.com/riverotter
Thanks,
Kevin
