Went fishing on the Sky last Saturday, leaving a borrowed car at the Ben Howard launch. Even though both of fishing have a complete set of fishing (and hunting w/ tags)licenses, a ticket for $95.00 was left on the vehicle by some kind of law enforcement. Simply because the vehicle had no conservation sticker on it.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE WDFW PARKING LOTS MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE HAS THE STICKER IN YOUR WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

this seems to be the only way that WDFW can recoup lost revenue due to decreased license sales. this really sucks! I mean I know you have to have the sticker, but $95? I'd fight it

I wonder how our WDFW enforcement officers can have the time to write a $95 ticket when they should be out enforcing the mandatory C&R of our Natives. I have heard of two being kept on the Sky this past week! Didn't see it myself but am sure it is going on. I'd fight the ticket too.

I don't know the details and I don't wanna step on any toes, but I think you asked for the ticket. The law is the law. how was that person that wrote the ticket to know you wern't some kyacker useing our launch or what ever it was . the deal with those stickers is to get everybody to support the upkeap and maintenance of these things. it wasn't right that we fishermen were booting the bill while other recreationalist got to use them without helping. with the way they have it set up now I agree with it. It's unfortunate that you got the ticket because you did pay yer part but fighting the ticket is yer right and I can't say yes fight it but it makes me mad when people complain about this thing. I understand it was a barrowed car. Just a tip for next time. try taping the sticker to yer back window of you're rig and when you need to use another rig all you need to do is untape it and put it in the one you will be using that day. as for a warden just making sure of natives being relesed. I gotta laugh. we all know they are under manned and have allot to do. this is one of them. If all they did was worry just about yer natives being released then think of all the other things that would never get done. that is why everybody including MYSELF needs to do alittle more than turn away or just make some remark when we see somebody doing something like snagging or not putting the natives back. get on yer phone and let those wardens know what is going on when you see something . we are their eyes and ears.

I'd go to court and show th judge your sticker - bet you get the ticket dismissed. In my region, WDF&W will occasionally GIVE you an extra sticker if you have two rigs. Previous replies are correct, it is time we either (1) stop putting up with skeatboarders, swimmers etc. filling our ramps/lots or (2) getting all users to pay.

95.00 dollars seems like a lot. Over here (eastside) the signs say 62.00 if your caught without a sticker. The different rate from one side of the state to the other doesn't make sense. The signs I refer to are posted by Wa. fish and wildlife.

I believe the rules say you have to have the sticker attached to the window by the stickum on the back, they don't allow you to tape it on. You can pick up extra sticker for your extra vehicles for 6.00 each wherever you can buy a license. I agree 95.00 is a lot of money!

At the very least you would think they could use some of the money they collect($95.00 fine or otherwise)to fill in some of those mammoth craters at the Lewis Street (Sky) ramp area!

I certainly agree with putting some $ towards the potholes at several launches. I put in at Sultan and floated to Lewis Street today and the Sultan parking lot looks like a bomb field. BTW we didn't touch a fish today and I didn't see anyone else get anything either.
