I get a few tackle manufacturer magazines from Japan and China, and the "translation" of the names of the tackle are fantastic...especially the names of the fishing rods.

There will be a couple of Japanese symbols on the rod blank (sorry, I don't speak any Japanese or read it, either, so I have no fuckin idea what they are or what they say), and then they'll have an English translation, usually something like this:

"Fish Rod of Wonder Right Hand Beautiful Keepsake Terrific Bomber"

...or something like that.

Good stuff.

Guy I know went to China a few years ago for a work trip. The hotel room had signs that listed what was not allowed.

No drug dealing
No removing mattresses
No subletting
No whoring
and so on.

Not sure how many nights he stayed there with those restrictions.
