Down Here in oregon springers are starting to show in the valley. I have fished for them a few times with a fly and have not hooked up yet. I was woundering if any of you could give me some advice on flies and presentation, or any thing for that matter.

For Chinooks use larger heavy duty or weighted flys (such as a double egg pattern) with a fast sinking tip to present them deep. This is important for both drifting & swinging the fly. Use strong enough leader tip.-- I'd like to hear more & better info. from the specialists about this & winter steelheading! Thanks in advance. - Steve
