Has anyone had sucess hooking springs on the fly? I have tried a few times bank fishing , swinging flys, with no success. This year I am fishing from a drift boat and am giing to try dead drifting glo bugs and fishing some big baitfish patterns. Any Suggestions?

I think your right on the money with your tactics. Remember salmon don't hold in the same water steelhead do. DEEP SLOW HOLES

If you are not a total purist use scent on the glow bugs.
I have also tried to hook fresh springers on a fly without any success. Ive caught alot of fall chinook with flies. Im sure its because fall fish are a lot more agressive.
If you get on some fish let me know how you did it. Fall chinnok are the oly fish I chase with a flyrod, I would like to get on some springers too.
