I need to know if any of you guys know a phone number that I can call to try to get information on a rod blank that someone ordered for me from Loomis. I was having a custom built "Midwest" drift rod built by a guy in Wisconsin. With the rod almost completed, he ruined the blank while turning the handle, and had to send it back. I'm heading up to Alaska in 8 more days, and guess what. No backup rod. Nice deal huh. Is there any way I can get a hold of Loomis to find out if and when they shipped the second blank. Thanks, because I am desperate as hell.

Hawk, hope you get everything together, before your trip. I know how it is getting everything ready for the trip, since I will be going to the same place as you on May 1st for 4 days. I will be expecting some great fishing stories from you when you get back, as well as the rest of the board. You may run into my brother again as he has booked a trip very close to the same as yours. His name is Ben Ng and guides in Kodiak(will be moving his charter to Juneau this year).
Are you going to be camping on the river at all? We plan to make the floats in two day trips, one day sleeping on the banks and the next in the lodge, and then do it all over again. That way you can spend more time fishing instead of rowing to the take-out.
