Any reports from the Kalama/Lewis, what kind of shape are the rivers in down that way? Thinking of a trip on Sunday or Monday, any reports will be appreciated.

I fished from about 2 p.m. to about 5:30 p.m. yesterday, April 14, up in the canyon at the deadline and the several drifts immediately below there. The water was up about a foot from last week and was colored, but still with about 3 feet of vis. I thought the conditions were excellent to get the fish moving and make them less spooky. I heard that some fish were caught in the morning, but I got nothing, and no one I talked to had done any good that afternoon. But one of these next few days should turn out to be really good, or at least better than slow.

I`m thinking of going to the kalama tonight and staying at the Kalama campground and then just venture out from there. I`m not sure if I`ll be driving that little subaru wagon or the 4 runner,depends on if I take a tent or just sleep in the car. I have`nt really been there but once which is why I may go tonight and do some scouting.

hello peeps, i was down there on friday, i never fished it..but talked to a guy who had jus got his boat out of the water..he dint catch anything..slow he said. well..i am heading down there this sat..what do you guy use down there spin-n-glo's and eggs? member when ernst was goin out of biznus..i picked up a bunch of spin-n-glo's for 10. a piece..what a killer deal man. but anyways, so do they charge you to sleep on there land down at the campground? i plan on doin the same thing..well..have a good one..g'day
