well guys and gals, ive heard there have been people out at daybreak breaking the rules. I was really excited about the opener on Sunday until I opened up the recent battleground reflector.
There were to steelies illegally caught right there on the sports page. I was infuriated. I advised F&W office, and also called the reflector. The guy that took the picture thought they were legal fish also.
F&W needs to do someting to clarify the rules. ( maybe post some signs or something ).
The east fork is a great little river that I enjoy very much. I hope someday the native population will build itself back up. In the meantime they need to be protected.
Any ideas? I feel like making a damn sign myself!

Poaching is a bigger problem than we think. The Naselle used to be a great little Sturg river. Read where they took a poachers gill net out with 70 Sturgeon in it. some of them were brutes. The game cop said they only catch 10-15% of the poachers. Thats not a very good percentage....

I have heard that the fine is just a slap on the wrist, $50?
