rvrtramp, Kalamabama, Alex and Zak - It was a beautiful day on the upper river! Thanks for the chance to meet you guys. Picking up the trash was the most productive thing I did on the river Saturday. After thinking about the trash for so long, it felt good to do some good for the river.

We should plan to do it again later on. After we broke up, I fished at the red barn and down and then did some poking around down below the beginner's hole. That is where the trash is! (I had lots of time to observe because I didn't catch diddly ((or is it I caught diddly?)). A whole lot less climbing too!

I hope to see you guys on the river. Zak, good luck to you, Alex and your dad with the new boat.

Thanks guys. It was fun. T.

To all involved-great job!!!! I learned the intracacies of fishing summer-runs back in the mid-80's on the Kalama.....spent many GREAT days there and though I don't fish it like I used to, it is still one of my favorite rivers.

Have you guys considered making signs to put at strategic points along the river? This is not a new concept but I find people hesitant to bother because of the inevitable vandalism that occurs once they're posted. I often wonder if there is a way to word a sign that is not "pushy" yet comes across in a classy way. Some kind of message that makes the reader WANT to do their part and feel guilty if they don't. It's worth a try.

Anyways, again, great job. I wish everyone would adopt a river.
