Just wondering what type of water you fishermen prefer to fish when it comes to locateing those tempermental springers? Personally I like the deeper, narrower slots when I think the fish are on the move. For holding fish the deeper riffled pools have produced results. Just wanted everyones thoughts on the kind of water they look for, thanks. p.s. Anyone consider environmental factors such as wheather changes or direct sunlight?

If the fish have been in the river a while, I look for deep slow holes. If the fish are on the move, I look for deep slots, the heads of pools right below the riffle or rapid and deeper tail outs right above a rapid.

Love them logjams and those deep slots with the brushy overhang. Hold the inside plug rod out and get under those branches....
