I will look at the "Fishing Gear Classifieds" or at the local tackle shop. I don't need to read your crap on the "Fishing Bulletin Board". My opinion is that this board should be for fishing reports, the state of our fisheries and for legitimate questions about gear and tactics, not for people trying to sell or push their products. Please if you want to sell your merchandise do through another means other than through this board.

Fishtick, the rules are simple. Read them, as*hol#. This is a board for reports and news. Not for people to push their products!

Fishtick, trust me you don't want to open this into a product discussion. I have 1,500 plus products to discuss, and you DON"T want that!

salmon tackler, I take it this post maily refers to me, and a few others who have started their own tackle business. If you would like to go back and look at my posts, I have not tried to push people into buying my products, I have better things to do. I have asked people on this board, what exactly they want from a product so I am not wasting my time. Never have I posted prices or anything like that over this board. This brings me to another thing. I fished the Kalama this weekend and about half way down the river my partner and I started talking about some people on this board that are waiting for any simple thing to blow up over, your the prime example! I guess I don't understand what has happened to this board. I joined this board one hell of alone time ago, when I joined there were few people on here, sure it was boring at time waiting days for someone to post a new topic, but it was way better than this! Bob used to post frequently and talk to us, but now he hasn't posted anything forever. You guys all talk about going to the WIND river to get a good laugh. Hell I don't have to make the long drive over there to get a laugh all I have to do is log onto here and listen to the bitch fest! Lets actually turn this site around and make Bob happy again. Lets try adn discuss anything and everything that comes up, if you don't like what the post has to say, don't read it, you guys let it get under your skin and eat at you. Don't you guys have anything better to do? I know I do, I can sit around and tie hooks, hehe. Well I think we need to improve our acts on this site just as much as anyone else does, lets actually do it. Ok let me get called names and whatever else anyone wants to yell at me for.
Thanks, Andy Matthews

Well said Andy, boards like this are great place to learn and discuss topics, and a starting place to help ourselves and other sportsman ,we all have jobs and wish we could do what we love be it hunt , fish etc.I've decided to take a hobby and expand it slightly ,I design and build custom cataraft frames I don't advertise or push ,I tell people where to look at other designs and such then answer their questions,I'm not tring to be Bill Gates Heck I don't care if I make any money ,it keeps me in the shop and out of the wife's hair, plus it gives a chance to try out my designs and fish them...( hey whatever gives you a reason to fish right )

Andy, actually the post was not directed towards you, but to Mr. .99 cent shipping. I am suprised there wasn't a direct link. That post was blatant, and it was not neccessary to click on the thread to get the point of the message. Bob D, You have no idea who I am or anything about my mentality. ""taker trying to find the easy way out" what the hell are you talking about?

I am amazed at the amount of animosity that can be displayed by certain individuals on this site on a variety of issues.
I relate this type of behavior to behavior displayed by certain individuals in vehicles when I am driving home during the rush hour.
I find the actions derived from the perceived state of anonymity, wether being rude and inconsiderate driving a car or similar behavior coresponding on this B&B to be disgusting and certainly not worth the time it takes to read these type of posts.
I would suggest to anyone prone to this type of behavior to quit hiding behind Mom's skirt and interact on this site as they would if they were interacting personally with a group of individuals. Which they are!
In regards to the content of posts I would suggest that since this site belongs to BOB, we let BOB decide what's appropriate and what's not.

roundball,
Well said! Let the really big one say when enough is enough and if he don't like it then we don't need to wimper about it like some old bag. As for the post that was pointed out about the tackle and all. BIG DEAL. so what some one put up a post asking people to look at their page and see if they could see a need for something that was not on the product list yet. is that all it takes to get some people in a frothing foam? go see a shrink!!!
Andy you were right about some people looking for reasons to jump up and down. these morons make me mad and they think it's ok to start a big wimper fest but it's not ok to talk about ones products. It sounds like these guys are Jelous because they want the attention and the only way to get it is wimper and cry like a little kid in the store when momy won't buy them the candy they want so they fall on the flore and hold their breath and cause a big comotion to get some attention. I will stop now, I got better things to do like go chech out FORESTBAY. I wish there was a link on that post now I gotta type it in. darn.LOL
p.s. I see a thumbs up and down but I need the finger to klick on rather than a smile face. LOL dcrzfitter

ok, it has been said more than once on this bb, if you do not like it, don't read or respond to it. i personally don't care if someone post an address for places like forest bay or andy's home spun business. it gives me new idea's of what's out there and available without having to run all over the country to look at new stuff. and we all like new STUFF! so what is the big deal, i read alot of [Bleeeeep!] on this bb and if it is not something i mostly just piss it off. thanks to all the folks that showed up at the meeting monday night in lacey. i thinks we got alot accomplished in the time allotted. wait for jim bains report on what we have started and help us fill in the blanks. thanks elmtree

Come on guys !! whats it hurting for someone to advertise there products on here, there might be something new or some new killer bait or lure.If you don't want to read it,its a simple click on your computer and your on a differant subject, theres no need to be calling people names or putting them down.If anybody knows of a killer lure for spring salmon on the wind,I'd like to know it made three trips up there in the last three days and got nothing along with 95% of the people up there. It was dead slow up there today and RAINING I mean RAINING REALLY HARD but luckly there wasn't to much wind there, it was and has been very slowwwww. at least for most people esp. ME

I for one like to see the different products and web pages put up on the board. I have a little plaque that hangs on my fireplace that my Mother-In-Law gave me that saye "never to much fishin' and never to much tackle". Keep posting guys. Hey Andy, whats the easiest way to get a catalog from you, after reading all of the posts about jig and bobber fishing I'd like to try it!!! Tight lines, Jeff P.S. Hey "The Really Big One", I sure enjoy reading what RT has to say here and on ifish, sure would like to hear your opinions on fishing life. The only thing I have seen is the rock you through at the pluggin rod thread. Some embelishment might be nice.

Salmon-T, Your right! I know nothing about you except what I read...So my first impression is, "your a whiner" No other post of yours stands out in my mind and Ive read everything here. The internet is a world of good and bad stuff and if you dont have an oren mind you'll get "internet rage". Im even gonna venture to assume your one of those guys who flip the bird in traffic and drive like a @ss. But remember I have nothing else to go on but that whining post. I appoligize, but you did it to your self!!!

Salmontackler:
Ditto all the comments from all the others. If you don't like what's on the site....go back to the "old days" of doing things. The newspaper, Hunting and Fishing paper, Salmon/Steelhead magazine, etc., of course these were days or weeks "outdated" by the time you got them. Internet is the "wave" of the future..either ride the wave.....or go to the beach!!! Just leave the rest of us "wave riders" alone....
