hooknose your right about the people sleeping in their holes but their mostly the people who are camping at the boat launch.what I've seen is that most of the fish are caught at dawn or before, and around dusk. we get there about 4:00 am to launch we have no trouble finding a good spot. There are a few places you could pull plugs or bait, but Ive had my best luck when I've thrown the hook in deep water and pitched bait. And as for the Wenatche I don't think you can fish any where below the mouth of the Icicle, but I may be wrong.A friend of mine from over there expects this to be a good year,we'll see!! good luck I'll probly see you there.

When do fish start showing up at Icicle? Has anyone heard what the fish count is at the dam? What's the best thing to use? Please help. It's not that far of a drive for me and I would love to hit one of those babies!

New regs say Icicle closed However, State suits should announce when it will open, sometime mid to late May. --- Fish across the dams check out these sites, both work, www.fpc.org/2000Daily/7_Day_Adults2000.htm or www.cqs.wshington.edu/dart/adult.htm ---Should be fun

Icicle open's May 15th.-July 22. Non-buoyant lure restriction (single hook w/less 3/4in. gap point to shank) night closure. 2 salmon over 12in. limit. None of the Wenatchee is open. The token whitefish opener in Dec. is a slap in the face of Washington sportfisher's. The entire region's stream's should have gone C&R a decade ago, when they decided to scrap the catchable hatchery rainbow program. The silver lining is if a C&R fishery is ever allowed, the fishing should be as good as it ever was. I just hope enforcement does a better job of keeping it closed, than they did with the bait ban.(piles of empty worm container's) Ramble on
