I can understand artificial turf on a field that gets close to daily use or multiple games on weekends, like high school stadia. But the Clink has about 10-15 football games and 15-20 futbol games in a whole year. Very little in the dead of winter. Why is it not grass?
Grass fields would also be safer for players and extend their careers.

Don't mind the game at all but the fans are a bunch of fudge packers.

Make up call for the blown non-call before half.

That was a perfect way for a bunch of floppers to lose. They got outplayed and out flopped.

Typical game for the US. Work harder than the other team, stay in the game, and give yourself a chance. Rarely pretty but always competitive.

too bad real football is only half the sport as hockey Fixed it for you I will say the USA game would have been a blowout if Howard would not have been stellar in net

For those of you still hating on the game, you are still here. For those of us who cared , it hurt. Imagine what it would have felt like if the 49ers had lost the Super Bowl. (oh wait ) Wondo hits that shot 9 out of 10. The other trucking 9 don't matter. We had our chances. The whole world has seen Yedlin. I wish I had his future. (and not my past) (zhit any 20 year olds future ) And the other Kid? Julian Green. First touch in a World Cup Match is a Goal!?! Jurgen was right. We were not ready to win the World Cup. But 2018? Starts now!

All I know was I watched as much of every match as I could because I wanted to root for the USA and see us win.

I thought there was a player and a "mafia" type killed the player because of a botched play that the Mafia guy lost mucho deniro.
What would North Korea do if they had a team in WC and they lost? NK would shoot some missiles into the ocean, Un would stomp his feet.

Andres Escobar from Columbia scored an own goal for the USA and paid for it with his life. Great football player and by all accounts, a better human. If you get a chance to watch the ESPN special about the Escobars, watch it. All about football and the drug cartels in Columbia. Edit: Andres wasn't a mafia type. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footbal...y-of-death.html

Howard did have a great game yesterday but Belgium isn't looking at it that way. They are talking about their piss poor finishing. Most of those saves are pretty routine for a world class keeper. Some games those shots are where your hands and feet can get to them, other games they are just a couple inches out of your reach. Lots of good saves, but the quality of a couple Keller saves in this 1998 match make it still probably the best performance in US soccer history. Keller 1998

I'd rather watch a blooper film of Women in Waders hitting range balls, than watch a soccer game without the USA participating.
