Super [Bleeeeep!] cell phone pic, but the moon gave off enough light last night to still easily be fishing the beach at 10:30.

I experience the same thing in Yellowstone in the 80's. Pretty cool to be catching browns and bows at 11:00 at night with plenty of light to fish. The sky looked purple due to the altitude, not my buzz.

And I'm more familiar with it, too...so that eases the scary factor.

When I got my first headlight, I'd stay out until the last bell.
Scary hike back through the forest.

That was a scary 6 mile hump in the dark with a pen light that time.

The one game-changer would be in an area with cougar around.
That would fuk up yer hike back.

Got to like it when they show themselves like that.
Cover with a cast and set the hook.
I'd recommend a popper because that looks like an 8 lber. grin

Nah, Nate's got the fuzzy moon shot catagory already covered.

Speaking of wildlife photos, there was bear scat in the neighbor's yard today. I guess there's more than just deer using the trail coming up along my back forty fence. I need to take Dogfish's advice and get another trail camera and see what the hell all is walking around my yard. And a hawk took a dink bird down in the driveway yesterday. No need for us to go to Northwest Trek; it's all happening around the house.

If the neighbor lady wouldn't freak out, I'd consider inviting a bunch of archers over in a couple months for a bambi blood bath. Cars are only averaging one a year on the road. Gotta' do something to keep the cloven hooved rodents in check.
