Osprey, Haven't been out myself but have heard the best action has been at Lyle Point (Anderson Island). I have done best on blackmouth at Devil's Head, but haven't been blackmouth fishing in the south sound for the last two years. Here's the report from the Wednesday TNT. South Sound - Very few anglers out, but those who went found fair success, said Bob Kern of the Point Defiance Boathouse & Marina, averaging about half a blackmouth apiece. Pressure also was light farther south, said Mike Zittel of Zittel's Johnson Point Marina, but anglers were finding a few blackmouth off the south end of Anderson Island, from just-legal to about 8 pounds. They were taking them mostly mooching or jigging on the tide change. I usually wait til mid July to start lookin for Kings around Tacoma. I'm headed for Sekiu tomorrow after work to go Hali fishing. Tight lines, Jeff

Be carefull takeing your Halibut out of Sekui cause I think you'll get a ticket. Fish have to be beached west of the Sekui river....

Barnyard, Thanks for lookin out for a fellow fisherman. Area 5 opened yesterday so you can now land Hali's in Sekiu. My friends are already there, they picked up two yesterday. Osprey, Would be a pleasure fishin' or golfin' with ya. I read your post's and enjoy what I read. I'll post a report when I get back. Tight lines, Jeff

Never made it out to the big water, buddie's boat had problems,so I took the cataraft out into Henderson inlet and had some fun with a few cutthroats largest was about 18" ,landed 6 in 2 hours all on light tackle sure was fun, that was it for my weekend, how about you ? I did hear of few fish caught on Saturday. ------------------ Row Quietly and fish a Cataraft ( formerly Steelheader boy) ----<'))>>{ [This message has been edited by Osprey (edited 05-31-2000).]

Wellllll aren't we feisty today!!! hehehe You must be healing up and looking for some action. What's wrong, tired of sittin at the computer and playing video bassmasters. Seeing that I am cataraft challanged (as I don't own one and I know you both do) we could do the Cowlitz in the sled or something along that line. Whatever it is it sounds like fun. Osprey any sugesstions??? Oh by the way 9 or 18, it don't matter!!! Tight lines, Jeff PS, Shania says to say hi and it is how big the eel is that counts LOL!!!

Either rowing and 9 or sledding and 18. I prefer the latter. I've already played a couple short course 9's with my son snd doc says I can swing away full blast in about 2 weeks - row too (but 1/2 days at first). Cow' or 'Nooch would be fine. U 2 know my e-mail. (So does Shania; she knows fine eel!) - Steve

Barney, is that the one on the N.F. Lewis? If so, how is it? Haven't played it but have seen a couple golfballs fly into trees while I was backtrolling the golfcourse hole. (BTW- I don't share Shania). - RT
