I finally fished the Cowlitz for the first time ever. I fished at Blue creek for 3 hours and saw 2 caught. Went to Barrier dam and someone said he caught one. Oh well, it is great to finally get out fishing.

I would like to add another thing. I was fishing in one of the holes and there was a guy, who fished right above me. When my friend rob and I left we looked at his spot and it was full of so much garbage. Taht just makes me mad. It is a beautiful river and lets keep it that way. Is there anything I can do to stop that except pick it up after him.

Not much you can do other than pick it up yourself. some folks just do not care. I some time ask people to clean up but most folks that trash the place do not take this well. I often pick it up as they are standing there. Just say (I will get it this time) hope they do the same next time.

This is just a suggestion , what about taking down his license number on his Rig and turn him in , if you are positive it is him doing the litering !
There is No excuse for this type behavior.
If you haul it in , you surely can pack it back out.

I don't fish that area although, I understand the mouth of blue creek is quite a walk in? If this is public land ask that the "parks" or what ever department place some trash cans. If it's private, I've seen landowners close property for this stuff post some signs "pack it in pick it up or access will be closed" This might get more people to pack out their own and other peoples.
