I fish for steelhead in lake erie tribs, I often hear that you guys use alot of drifting techniques on the N.W. coast. I was curious as to what these techniques were. I mainly float fish with marabou jigs, but will drift fish occasoinaly when water is high and it is in the spring. I would really apreciate you responses.

Give me a call and I'll help you out. The way we do things in the Midwest is a little different than the 'West Coast Guys". It's a whole different set up for our smaller rivers, They have rivers out thre that Washington wouldn't have crossed if he was drunk, and had three weeks vacation. We have smaller water, and a little bit different fish. I could type forever, but I wouldn't cover it all. E-mail me at least, and I'll get you dialed on the Chuck N Duck.

Get Herzogs book on drift fishing--it's a great book for the beginner and has information that alot of us "seasoned" guys sometimes forget. I bought one for my buddy who was new and he said it helped him out greatly! Nothing beats time on the water though!
