Finally pulled the trigger and bought one. The talk is true. The double action is sweet! I have not shot it yet. I have a bunch of 125 and 158 target loads to plink away with. I want it, but I had the gal in mind too when I got it. When I showed it too her she actually seemed excited. She is strong enough to pull the trigger and open the cylinder with ease. Most my guns are hard for her to operate. If we are gun shopping for her she makes her own decisions. I think I lost it to her. We will see when she shoots it. Plus P loads will prob kick a bit. I shot the lighweight smith 44 mag with full bore 300 gr loads, and talk about recoil. Its worse than the casull. Even my little light weight 22lr barks a bit. Anyway...I hope we she likes shooting it cause it is going to get some use. Prob going to try it today.

Yes sir.
Now this event was before my carpel tunnel repairs on my right wrist, so perhas I need to revisit the Raging Bull.
Paid my buddy's son for a gun full of factory 260 grain hollow points (5 rounds) was thinking I'd show these boys my magnum handgun proficiency & go double action thru all 5.
Well lol @ me.
Tapped out after 2 rounds & said "kid keep the change"
My hand was going numb, was afraid the darn thing was going to fly off into low orbit.

The Raging Bull is a good gun. I have close to 1000 rds thru mine. It likes the 300 gr hornady xtp mags. But I shoot the 240s and 260 also for plinkin. Eventually I will own a freedom arms. The RB shoots good tho. I can keep um in 5 to 6" @100yds with it scoped. With a good rest. Lol. Offhand take away about 99 yds from that. Ya do get use to them. Keep at it. Ive had 3 carpultunnel operations. Shooting one of those even months after that is a bad bad idea. Lol.

Lol. I had my left hand done twice. When I told my doctor it was back. He said no way. Not one of my jobs. The he gave me the shock test, and said. Its back. No chit sherlock. I have it in both hands again. Maybe I can find a doc that has a guarentee. Haha Never got out, and shot the lcr this weekend. Looks like we are going to have high water for a bit so fishing isnt going to get in the way. Be nice to bring the steel plates, and shoot in the woods. Thats way more fun than shooting at the range. Ya want to shoot the 454 last.

38 Special is fun to shoot. HBWC's are great for shooting paper.

GM2, congrats on a fine choice.
I have a 1968 S&W model 15-3, thats the K frame 38 special. This one is packing the 2" barrel so it's the target stubbie. Nice gun to carry in the woods, it's lightweight, accurate & has decent power.
The service grips look right on this piece but are too small for my hand, so I installed the bigger target grips it looks a bit like the tail wagging the dog, but shoots good for me.
For you reloading junkies; currently working with the #2 alloy cast Lyman #358429 keith bullet. I'm trying AA #5, Unique & 2400. Shooting for 900-1000 fps
The solid is 170 grains, hollow point version is 158.

I have this strange feeling that I know where those girlie lookin' .357's are going to end up. They do look a little funny but when viewed from the front of a loaded Ruger GP 100, just seeing those four pink eyes staring back at you might make one just want to Halt and Stand Fast !

Lipstick of death.
158gr hard cast bullets. SWC profile, poured a little hot so they frost a bit for better adhesion. Target fps is 1200 with a mid range Blue Dot load. Powder coated with jig head paint. Tittie pink was what I had handy. Toss bullets in the vibratory cleaner and turn it. Sprinkle in powdercoat until bullets are coated. About 30 seconds. Sift in a hardware cloth basket to remove excess and bake for 20 minutes at 300. Let cool, run through a Lee .358 sizer die, then load.
Powder coat survives on recovered bullets up to 2100 fps from my trials with .300 blackout. When you squeeze the bullets in the vise the powder coat doesn't flake off.

Dog, are you shooting those 357 reloads out of a lever gun?
Been wanting an older Marlin in 357, seem like it'd be a dandy plinker.

Wish I had a .357 lever . That would be a fun plinker with .38's and a good kid's gun for deer.
