i was wondering if there are any crayfish lakes around mt. Baker. if so, what are their names and where are they. i would also like to know if they are good for eating.

What you done did is take you sum of dat der Zattarins seafood boil and put it in da pot wit sum hot watta and some baby potatoe and corn on the cob and onion, and boil for 30 minutes. My college fishing partner had a string of traps in Lake Washington that provided a lot of fun and good eats. They are excellent, but that was when we were long haired hippies in 1968 so you might want to check the regs. not to mention the P.C.B. level,mercury,dioxin, choliform bacteria, and some kind of state sanctioned gathering permit.

I don't know much about the mt. baker area,but most cold water lakes do have a population of crawdads.This I know....they taste goooood! boilem up grab a beer have a meal,save afew they make great bait,Good Luck

When I had family in Baton Rouge they would fill up a garbage can (unused) with everything you could think of (Hawk's recipe sounds famliar), bring it to a boil and then dump in a bucket of crawdads. Everybody loved it. I can't vouch because I'm allergic to shellfish...
