hey fishslayer;
be careful of what you say on this board. we have alot of good native americans on here that do what the laws allow and do not go overboard. they can be more helpfull than most might think, just ask, most will give you good info on what when and where.

so knock off the bad mouthin and stick to straight questions and you will get some good advise. if not, well the advise you you have erned.

I agree with the above we get alot of good information from native americans on this board.

For example, the same person you just referred to as a piece of @#$%.. just may be be the best source of information you have regarding the fishing on that river.

on a side note, did you all read the article in todays paper regarding the cowlitz recognition. Any comments?

Fishslayer,
You should choose your friends a little wiser, people are judged somewhat by the company they keep.

Does your buddy have your pin number and your ATM card also ??? While netting fish in almost all the rivers in Wa state is bewildering to say the least, P.O.S is no way to address any ethnic group for any reason.

Agreed. No reason for any one to refer to other people with that type of racist attitiude. I'd find a new friend. Sounds like he may be suffering form P.O.S syndrome himself. Lifes too short. Let's hope our kids do a better job of looking at people for what they are, rather than where they came from or what they do to make a living. Peace.

Let's clean up those racial slurs there mister!!

According to board policy it's the cussin' not the racist message that offends. So tell your buddy to stick to terms like "damn redskins" rather than "P.O.S. indians" in the future. After all, racism is just a personal value and words are more important than messages!!

Hope it really was your "friend". As I wouldn't want an Island County Sheriff(per your profile) with that attitude.

If you want to know something about the Samish, then get off your computer and fish it! Nobody is gonna tell you how the fishing is if its good, i know i wouldnt. There's actually quit a few "good indians" out there. Commercials take way more fish than indians do. Check out WDFW website for actual numbers, and then tell everyone who the "piece of [Bleeeeep!] is"

Hey fishslayer aka joefisherman,
Come August you'd should bring your own parking space for the Samish, bring bait and join the crowd and leave the attitude at home, be it yours or your "friend's". There's no room for it with all the people. Anywhere. With a dual personna and your profile, what's up with keeping the peace and protect and serve? Coexistence and harmony without oppression.

Hey Fishslayer/Joefisherman,
I'd tell ya to go to the nwfishing BB but since Dave cleared the board the rapore there has been pretty good, I just hope it lasts. Keep up the profanity laced derogitory comments and I gaurantee that Sherriff Bob will ride into town and you will be on the history list like Sloth and some clown from Vader that didn't know how to communicate without being a total jerk!!!! Controversy is cool, as long as it is civil.

Fair warning ... I usually give everybody a second chance, consider your first one used. Salmonhead said it well: controversy is cool (as many already know, I'm not much of a fan of tribal netting), but keep it clean and civil!
