Like to tie some summer patterns during the dead of winter, warms the old bones.

Fish this one on top, or sink it on a long leader & strip it in.

Just be sure to hang on cousin, cuz it gets........ HAMMERED

This cat ties a nice one.

I used to tie those by the dozen. Now I buy them by the dozen.

The Stimulator was originally tied on a 200R hook. One of the worst hooks ever in my opinion. Seemed to break a lot and miss a lot of hook-ups.
The 2312 or 5212 are a much more effective hook.

That's the first dry fly I ever fished, and caught dozens of little westside cutthroat on.

I also like the Goddard Caddis for fishing rivers.

Chromer is right about drowning the Stimi. A mutual friend of ours will tie one on, and strip like crazy in the lakes. Always out fishes everyone else. He also carries a big bottle of Scotch and Advil with him. He'll probably get repetitive stress injury to his wrist the way he strips in those flies.
