The NFL needs to manage all of the balls once it's gametime.
That, I believe is what will happen after this SB.
You get your allotted balls, break them in and then turn them over to the NFL prior to kickoff.

Too bad that everyone is talking about all this nonsense during the run up to the big game.
Maybe next week it will have settled out and we're talking about matchups/strategies as it should be.

Deflategate is the top national news story on NBC tonight.

Now that would have been quite the sight.

While the Patriots clearly outplayed the Colts, their victory would be minimized if it is proven that they cheated. And if it is proven that they cheated there should be consequences. Of course, considering the times we now live, some will disagree.

DD - they already do that 2 hours prior to kickoff in the Ref locker room. The refs weight and measure and check everything. Something happened after the fact. Methinks some poor broke ass ball boy is going to end up being the "Pat"sy on this one.

As far as matchups go...here's some flavor. It's bleacher report so take it with a grain of salt, but at least its "real" football talk instead of ball talk.

I clicked on Nicks link and the first thing that pops up is a "follow InflateGate app." And while typing that InflateGate popped up on my autocorrect. This thing is going to blow up exponentially and I love it. Sitting up here in SE Ak practicing, studying film and coming up with a game plan while the rodeo arrives in Boston . I don't get the feeling Billacheck and Brady get called liers during press conferences very much. Media day is going to be awesome!

I get that, but it's my understanding that that balls get turned back over to the individual teams after that initial inspection.

According to Nick's link it'll be no contest.

They're replaying Brady's press conference now. Sounds like an admission of guilt to me. "Those balls are perfect. Once I turn them in that's what I expect to play with." I think they've been doing this so long that they no longer considered it cheating.
