You guys probably know about the deal by now. It's a shame after what happened to the flavor of Redhook.

I think they should have stayed independent but my opinion means nothing.

I like some of their beers a lot and hope they stay the same.

Good thing a new IPA shows up every week. If it is over 6.2 I try um.

White boy ripple.

News to me!

Sad as I've been to their Pike St. location many times and had some interesting times there.

I guess it's good for micros in general (they are getting more attention from the macro overlords?).

RIP? Hope they keep on keeping on though!

I hadn't heard and if its true it sucks. I've always loved Elysian, nothing better than a hot babe and a few pints of Immortal while watching the fags on capitol hill... not there's anything wrong with that...

if you haven't tried it yet, check out the space dust IPA while it lasts... I had 2-25 ouncers at gameworks tonight and it kicked my ass...

fortunately for beer drinkers, there are craft breweries popping up every day that are making crazy good beers and the non sellouts are turning out spectacular beers at their tap rooms...

I'm lucky enough to live walking distance from silver city's taproom in bremerton... when they sell out, I may just start mass producing my own...

lots of craft breweries popping up and a bunch popped. these breweries are trying to out hop each other rather making clean crisp quality ales.

Oakshire IPA has been a favorite of mine for quite a while now.
I'm a sucker for the Citra hop and I think that they sprinkle some of that into this IPA.
In bottles or cans....first decent IPA in a can that I have found.

So I wouldn't worry too much here. Elysian has its sister brewery in my home town (Fort Collins, CO) next to New Belgium. FC also happens to have a massive Bud Brewery right down the road from Elysian. Word back home is that in the agreement, AB would be hands off and would let Elysian still do its own thing. It's just a financial thing [I guess. If anything Elysian is now going to have massive financial backing to help bring even better brews to market.
