Here's a record that will never be beaten.

On January 19, 1974, the UCLA Bruins lost a basketball game to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 71–70. It ended a streak of 88 consecutive victories, which coincidentally began after losing to Notre Dame almost three years earlier on January 19, 1971.

I remember this winning streak being broken like it was yesterday.

That's right up there with Pete Rose's hits record and Joes 56 game hitting streak or Nolan Ryans 7 no hitters.

Pitching today is too specialized...set up guy's...relievers. Back then the pitchers started and tried to finish the game...not like the pusses of todays pitchers.

Back in Joe D's day striking out was an embarrassment. Joe had something like less than 10 more career K's than HRs. What is the ratio today?

Suck it, Duke. You, too, Vitale.

Vitale isn't broadcasting.

Bill Raftery, Grant Hill are your Final Four announcers. Former Duke star Grant Hill and veteran broadcaster Bill Raftery will call the NCAA Final Four and the the national championship game of the NCAA men's basketball tournament for CBS this year

Good final to a fun season. Was rooting for Wisky, but Duke is just too strong in the paint and on D. Wisky played tough and had their chances.

That was some damn fine bazzitball last night, one of those "on the edge of my seat" the whole time. I really thought Wisconsin had a chance after they beat Kentucky the other night. With no skin in the game I was rooting for Wisconsin since Duke has had more championships.

If they stay, Duke could go on a run.

Their back court is sick.

After all the games leading up to the final, all the time playing, practicing, traveling etc. - at half time in the final the score was tied. The winner wasn't decided until the last 20 minutes of the season. As it should be. Good Madness.
