So frickin' jealous. Best guitarist ever. Sorry Jimmy, Jimmy, Jeff, Eric, Joey, Mark, Bo, BB, Albert, Duane, Buddy, Muddy, Robert and all the other greats.
SRV was good but not even on the same planet as hendrix . Jimi played has sounds they can only duplicate with advanced electronics. JMH was an innovator. Prince can out play SRV.

I was lucky enough to see SRV three times and the most notable was a Bumpershoot concert where he got in a guitar duel with Lita Ford. At one point, during the increasing tempo, she threw her guitar down and walked off stage. SRV just kept playing... and playing faster and on. I could see the sweat dripping from the brim of his hat. It was something I'll never forget.
I am pretty sure it was Lita Ford anyways.

In the legend of King Arthur, the Fisher King was a renowned angler whose errant ways caused him to be struck dumb in the presence of the sacred chalice. I am no great fisherman, and a steelhead is not the covenant of Christ, but with each of these fish I am rendered speechless.
Hendrix is the Jordan of the guitar world....nuff said.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Arguing Jimi and Stevie is like arguing chocolate and vanilla.
Both legendary guitarists - no need to place them on a list.

In the mid 80's I ran with some dudes from Wilbur and Ephrata. We tore the east side of the state up partying, hunting, whatever.
On Sunday I was blazing across the wheat fields headed to Odessa to pick up a couple of mules.
I just got done telling my wife and son about the good old days, the Stevie Ray Vaughn concert, etc. when the radio station we were listening to in the truck played Pride and Joy.
We saw SRV & DT at the Everett Civic Center on Colby across from the high school on May 6, 1989. It was the 2nd date on the 'In Step' tour which sadly turned out to be his last.
