How did all that fished for sockeye this weekend do?
Spent the last 3 days fishing it and did O.K.
My 12 year old daughter caught 1 more than I did but only because I let her..(yeah, right).*L*
Now it`s time to break out the smoker..*G*

The fishing was great, the catching was , well, not as good as I had hoped. We trolled stacked rigs for the last three days (four lines) and only managed to get three. Barbecued each day after noon. It was a blast. I think that we may have converted the boat owner from simply a cruiser into a fisherman. His boat is just inside the locks. We will be working on him to get out and fish area 10 and beyond. Let's all cross our fingers and hope that there may be a season in 2001.

I took my drift boat out on Sunday and picked up 3 nice ones in the first hour. Tried for 3 more hours and couldn't pick up the last fish for our limit.
We do have a shot at a fishery next year. Fry counts out into the lake in the spring of 98 were almost as good as in 97, so if we have good ocean survival we could be back at it again next year.
