I was down at Sportco last weekend and saw some very very neon-flourescent lines (Maxima Fiber-glo) in particular. I was really tempted to buy a package of this line in 12lb and 20lb for my Salmon and Steelhead set ups. Having that much visibilty would be very nice for detecting and seeing where my plugs are at. I didn't buy though because the Hot Pink color of the line just screamed fish can see this. Anyone have any exp with this stuff that can share their experiences and answer a few questions. Bob, I vagly remember you running som Hot Pink line last fall is this line the same stuff and are you still currenty fishing with it. 1) Can fish see this line. 2) Should you run this line straight to a plug or do you need a leader?

I have been using this line for a few years now and I wouldn't use anything else. This is the same stuff that Bob Ball uses. I do attach a leader to it usually six feet by way of a blood Knot. I usually use 12lb for steelhead and 25lb for Kings. Fish don't seem to be able too see it if you use a leader. I use this line in winter and during the low clear flows of summer.

The fibre glow is a stiff line, with way too much memory in my opinion.

I do the same as jg. Great line if you want to see where the line/plug is. Especially when you get close to root wads/log jams
