Two tribal members were observed gillnetting from a sled above the 101 bridge and the Oxbow in the last two days. There're launching about 1/2 way (iceman) up to Morgan. This is not the first time and surely won't be the last. Since when could they net above the bridge? This is ludicrous!

holman:

I have trailered to the Hoh for 20+ yrs., like to stay at "Allen Bar"....used to be that they didn't net that area, all further down river. Matter of fact, most of the nets were in "tide water".

Low and behold...I go there 3 yrs. ago, net right where I have camped for those 20 yrs.

Don't know any easy answer, probably isn't any. I fought the "indian wars" in Grays Harbor in the 1970's.....everything went thier way then, and still does.

I'm glad I got to fish pre Bolt decision!!!!

These renegades are on the wanted list. They are not Hoh Indians and have no rights to be fishing there. Get the description of vehicle and license numbers and turn them in..Good luck trying to fine a number for the local WDFW Enforcement
Hoh Tribal Game Enforcement 374-4020
