If anyone would oblige I would appreciate hearing what the summer steelhead fishing has been like the last few days on the Cowlitz, WHYnoochee, and Lewis rivers. Thank you very much!

The Nooch is so low and lacking flow that you could walk across it and not get your ankles wet.

The nooch is also so covered in algae (gravel) it looks like a frickin cesspool. This is the kind of algae that is long, tan and stringy.....looks like a foot long wad snot on your bait and sinker every time you reel in...lots of fun!

I have noticed more moss or algae in rivers this year since late spring. Is that because of more sunny days in May and June or what?

Hammerhead: I agree with Eric, but after fishing this river for the past 21 summers I know that "IF we get a big rain" most of that "algae" will be gone. Eric.....recommend you go to "plan B", most have and don't have to fight that "ugh" brown snot!!!!! "Worse day sport fishing, still better than the best day working"....

I have been hitting summer runs in both the cow and the lewis. Lewis seems to be holding bigger fish but less of them. Cow has more but in the 103 range . Good luck. Keep The Rivers Clean!!! ------------------ dank
