Hey all:

Is rainbow park on the kalama still open? If so, do you know what they charge for a tent site per night?

Have some weekend business(not fishing...damn!) and was going to overnight there but I haven't been there in awhile.

Also, does Woodland have any moderately priced, clean motels?

I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the same place as you but if it's the last takeout/putin before going on down to Modrow, yes, it's open. Just downriver from the old hatchery. It's also where the new baitshop is. I think they charge like $5 to pitch a tent or something like that.

I think Rainbow dowm river from Modrow is closed. The one mentioned in the above post is open. As to motels in woodland average price is $50.

Kalamabama, can you name a few motels other than best western that are clean and affordable in woodland? Best western is a little more than I want to pay for one night($89-$150)

If anyone else can chip with some woodland motel names that are decent I'd appreciate it.

Fished at Rainbow park last fall, and there were people camping there. They charged like 4 bucks for us to fish there, but I don't know if it costs more to camp there. The caretakers there gave me their phone #, which I promptly lost, so I don't know how you can get in touch with them. I heard the YMCA had taken over the site, so maybe you could get the # for the YMCA in Woodland and they might be able to help you out.
