Years ago I had a 19 foot runabout that I fished from. Then we decided to trade up and bought a 24 foot cruiser. It turn'd out that even though we loved the boat, we didn't like truckin the huge beast around on a trailer, or payin all that money for gas to do so, so we sold it. But now I can't go fishing anymore.

Can anyone reccomend a charter operator, to go out for some Puget Sound Kings or Silvers?

Dave;
If you are willing to do it yourself, you might try Seacrest in Elliot Bay, or Point Defiance Boathouse. There is also a business call Spot a Tail Charters down on the Seattle Waterfront.

Dave,

Maybe buying a smaller boat is the answer :-)

I have an 18 ft Alumaweld Intruder with a 115 Merc that I would consider selling.

I'd love to do it myself. Great idea.
I tried but couldn't find Seacrest in the phone book. Do you know how to contact them?
Are they on the West Seattle side of Eliott Bay?

I'd also love to get another (smaller) boat.
And luckily, I think my wife will agree to that. I do want to put more thought into exactly what we want in our next boat. I think that unless we go something really small (10-30 hp) I'll stay away from a 2-stroke outboard. I had a 115 merc on my first boat, and it was loud, smokey, and expensive to repair. (it performed well though)

Thanks again for the quick helpful replies!

Dave:
You might want to give Keith Robbins a call. Spot Tail Guides. He fishes out of an open Grady White and does it 52 wk/yr. Very good. Think right now he is doing C&R off Jeff Head and Kingston, but you might coerce him into the urban muddle next week in Elliot Bay. 206.263.6680
