It is only "fetal tissue" because sick people deem it to be such. The lie has been told so many times even good people like Todd believe it.

To anyone:

One doc does a UltraSound of a 4 mo. old baby and shows it's mother how her little one is doing. Mom gets all teary eyed, as does the nurse at seeing this new human developing into a real person.

Next room over, a doc does an UltraSound of a 4 mo. old baby that the mother never gets to see. He's done it for the sole purpose of insuring he doesn't damage any "marketable" organs. Then he rips the BABY out of mom one piece at a time.

Real possibility:

None of your past GF's have ever become pregnant with your child. One week she walks in and tells you she is pregnant...this is your future son or daughter.

You begin to think about how you're going to teach him/her to fish, how to row a driftboat, excel in school and grow up to be a wonderful human being.

Next: She up and tells you that, IF YOU DON'T MARRY ME I'LL KILL THIS BABY.

So, now it's "real", Do you let her kill your potentially only child, ever, or do you step up, get married for at least long enough that she carries your baby to birth?

People have almost diametrically opposed beliefs on this subject, and the reason why is it is such a serious issue...more than serious, in fact.

It is not an issue you can just glibly toss out a response to off the top of your head. It requires the type of thinking that many Americans have abandoned, that being taking an issue deep down in your gut and having a serious, honest chat with yourself about it.

"Fetal Tissue" IS a baby. The term "fetal tissue" is used with an intent on reducing the humanity associated with killing a baby...doesn't sound like a real life when it's called fetal tissue.

That baby wants to live, which is why they are fighting each day to develop their organs to a point where they can come out and see the world.

The only voice they have is that of their mother, but then if she is so selfish and caught up in herself she only wants her freedom back...at any cost, she has been given the legal right to murder her unborn baby. I can only imagine the mental anguish they must feel when their baby is now dead by their hand, but then rationalize their way around it by calling it "fetal tissue". IMO the woman is just as guilty of murder as the doc who technically performs the murder.

Baby killers always like to toss in the plot complication of "what if it is incest or rape"? As horribly evil and unfortunate as it is, a life is still a life.

Lots of people don't like paying for implements of war. They don't like paying for a $700 hammer. They don't like paying for anything that .GOV uses their money for. .GOV wastes a lot of our money.

Suck it up buttercup. Maybe you should just not pay taxes in protest. See how that works out for you. Moving to another country could solve that, or maybe you could form your own territory and secede from the nation.

I do understand that some people find it repugnant. That is certainly your right to have an opinion on that. I have no need to control what another person does with their body or property, as long as it does not directly impact me. I would expect that somebody would extend the same courtesy to me.

Here is the thing. This repugnant action was ruled legal by the US Supreme Court. You are not going to change this unless:

1.The US Supreme Court reverses a decision on an earlier case by making a contradictory decision on a current case.

2.Congress and the States can overturn a decision by amending the Constitution.

Neither are likely scenarios.

You want to know why the Republican Party has been such a failure in the past few elections? They cling to stupid arguments that they cannot change, like abortion. They also send the most far right a-holes to the front of the line, leaving the bulk of the voters in the middle alienated. You want to see them lose, keep this up. Don't change a thing. My belief has nothing to do with law, government, money or religion, but with right and wrong.

If a woman does not want to get pregnant, there are dozens of birth control options, including just keeping her britches on. Evidently women don't know how to say "NO" instead of "Oh..no worries, screw the hell outta me and I'll just get an abortion."

Sex today is treated more like a sport or hobby than a way to propagate the human species. How did it get that way? The media. All you got to do is turn on a TV at prime time and check any major network...every damn show revolves around someone getting laid, and nobody wants to be responsible if a baby is the result.

People today will gladly hold the door open so a woman can walk in and murder her unborn child, and then they'll walk across the street, pick up a sign so they can protest hunting, fishing, trapping or anything else that might harm an animal they have deemed to have "rights".

What about the rights of that unborn baby?

Not afraid to say what I believe, and the best argument the opposition can provide is saying "It's not a baby...yet."

Anything else is a rabbit trail intended only to muddy up the waters.

And of course, you are all entitled to your own opinions.

That was probably the lamest response to a post that I've seen in a good while.

Well at least you admitted that your post was a 'rant'. However you should take heed as you are beginning to sound quite a bit like Tood, I.E. the use of hyperbole in a straw man argument.

Let me explain,I do not think that it is right to force people to act against their religious beliefs, and arguably the constitution does not allow for it. I am not religious but I respect the rights of those who are, as I respect the rights of people who find abortion to be against their beliefs to protest the fact that they are forced to pay for such procedures.

Additionally, I made no mention of the ability to obtain an abortion as in fact I respect the right of any and all people to seek out any legal medical procedures.

So next time before you 'rant' you might consider what it is that you are responding to before you climb on your high horse, O.K. Buttercup.
