I just got back from fishing all week in Illwaco. Fishing outside is Hot, Hot, Hot! Silvers were predominant but the occasional 20-30# chinooks were cruising too. We started fishing Sunday the 30th, and fished through Thursday the 3rd. In an hour and a half we boated an average of twenty fish per day. We had a blast, Couldn't hardly get your gear back in the water. We fished downriggers and divers. Fish are running pretty shallow. Divers were more successful running fifteen to twentyfive pulls. small flasher and hoochies with a plug cut herring were the ticket, But the way the fishing was it probably didn't matter what you were throwing at them. We fished Buoy 10 Wednesday early due to the bar being too rough and had minimal action. boated a couple small silvers, and broke off a big fish but nothing like the action we had outside. Still too early for Buoy 10.
