Whats going on with these rivers? What's running in them right know and what are some good tactics to catch these fish.

is 10# main with 8# leader too heavy. I had a nice steely break of an 8# leader like it was thread! Im a bit paranoid about going any lighter.

iron, the last I hit the Kalama they were biting on spinners with green tape!
I am going to give Bob's spinner recipe a try
its in "past tips" under great summer trick...(or something like that)

10#main8#leader is the combination i use when the water is this low and clear.what brand of line are you using that might make a difference. some people are using heavier setups some lighter it is a preference thing and how many hookups you want.FISH ON!!!!!!!

maxima ultra green on a spinning setup.
Also Ive been using #2 gammies.
Havn't landed one yet this summer (first summer stealheading)
