does anyone remember the formula posted several months back to calculate weight.
I am curious about a steely 36-1/2" long 6-1/2" top to bottom and probably 6" in girth.

I asked this one just a short time ago.
Length x girth x girth /775.

Fishguts has the right formula above, but the accuracy of this formula depends on the accuracy of the measurements taken. Your girth estimate will probably result in an innacurate overall estimate, since you don't have a very accurate estimation. Take the girth estimate by measuring all the way around the fish in front of its dorsal fin.
