How does everyone prefer to fish for these two popular types of salmon. I mostly fish for steelhead and do alright with salmon eggs and a bobber.

For silvers I prefer a small egg cluster or a #3 silver spinner with either hot pink or blue body, another thing that works is to use 2 small corkies with a couple small beads than slide a small colorado blade on top finish this off with a small egg cluster and drift fish. For nookers I love to use bobber and egg.

hi peeps, when fishing a bobber, how far off the bottom should i have my eggs at? ive been doing ok with jus corkies, but im sorta fishin a part of a river where i dont get a real good drift with lead and corkies, but have hooked 2 fish and landed one and if i could master eggs and bobber, im sure this could be a record year for hookups for me, and should i add split shot to my line to keep the eggs down or do they go down the bottom themselves? thanks ***schitzo***

For cohos, I prefer spinners (#4 or #5) in orange or charteruse. I try to cover alot of water and don't spend much time in each hole. Spinners allow you to move fast and cover each hole quickly. If there are active fish, you can usually coax a strike within the first few casts. If not, move on.

For Chinooks, I've never had much success with hardware. I usually find a deep hole and drift the biggest gob of eggs I can impale on a hook. But the first hour at dawn seems to be the only time I've been successful. Good luck.
