Just a recent report on the coho fishing in area 10, I was out yesterday (sat. 26th)
trolling coho flies behind a hot spot, at meadow point. first fish was a 25lb king, at 30 feet, trolling at 4 mph. all the rods were'nt even down, when that fish was hooked, killer fight on the surface, and a clean release with a few pictures, the coho bite was excellent, but it was hard to keep them pinned, we lost over a dozen, but ended up with three nice ones, one was a an early hooknose about 8lbs. good cloud cover helped.
and hardly no boats.

I'm headed out early in the morning to area 10. I was out at Neah Bay last week and I know there are alot of silvers inbound. Area 9 should be hot when it opens.

8 foot.... yup, area 9 should be a smoker, but for now, even when 9 opens up, I'll be sticking to area 10. there are good spots within a 10 minute run, unlike the possession circus, you can have all that!
I'll be quietly getting my limit of silvers inbound for the samammish, and the other rivers down south. and almost no boats to contend with, and a ten minute run back to my trailer.

Hey Fuzzy;
At the time you were writing that last post, I was out there fishin in the rain. We got one Chinook after about 2 minutes. After that we only caught shakers. Thanks for the report. I e-mailed it to the Man With The Boat. It really helped to get him motivated.
Thanks,
Fishguts
