Went to the Green after work yesterday for a couple of hours after work, tried throwing spoons, spinners, everything I could think of in the allotted time frame to no avail.
I`m going to try again on Tuesday, will post another report then.

Where were you fishing? I caught a hatchery fish up by head works on Saturday on a float and jig.

oops, sorry, should have mentioned where I was to begin with.
I parked up above the gorge recreational area
and hiked downto the canyon below, think I might try around Kanaskat this Tuiesday or Wednesday.

Hit 4 on the upper Green this morning fishing the new Fuzzy jig from Rainbow jigs in red/black. Landed 3 fish, all around 7 pounds. Above the gate!

I will tip them sometimes in the summer with a small piece of prawn, crawdad, or a couple periwinkles. I don't think it makes a big difference unless your fishing slower water where they have time to take a look at it and get a whiff, otherwise they don't have time to make a decision to bite based on smell. Sometimes i take some scent and put it on the head of the jig. Dark colors work well in the summer-Blacks, purples, reds are my favorites. You can contact Rainbow jigs at rainbowjigs@aol.com and they can send you an order form, they make excellent jigs and do their sales by mail order.

Jigman,
I`ve been up learning the Green, (or trying to), but I`m not sure what or where the gate is you are refering to. It must be up above the gorge, I`m guessing above kanaskat.

The gate is on the headworks road about as far up as you can go. I never considered the Green "Eerie".

Never heard it called "Eerie" polluted maybe but not "Eerie".That upper part of the Green is good for Summer Runs any where along the headworks road.I suggest you use a night crawler. Stay away from the stretch from the holding pens down past the state park this stretch gets hit so hard all the fish have mutated to where they don't have mouths anymore.

Schitzo being that you live in Edgewood you should just go up hway 410 and turn left at the pickle factory in Enumclaw and just follow that road and once you pass Palmer State Park the headworks road will be on your right about a 1/4 mile past the park.
