...am heading up to Yakutat next week, curious if anyone has any reports re the silver action in the streams of the Gulf of Alaska or SE. One thing I heard from a charter boat captain in the salt water..."I never seen 'em this big". But then I've heard that one before....

Just got back from SE Ak. last week, and while there were some silvers around, most of the run was a little late this year. They expect they will be thick about next week, or so the locals told me. We did well in the streams, but they were not full of fish, just enough in there to make it fun. Saltwater was slow, but we picked up a fish every hour or so. We just didn't seem to run into any big schools. Good luck up there.
