bscott,

The Snoqualmie from Fall City to the Neal Rd. launch is not a bad run.(3hrs straight through) Another is to launch at the Tolt launch and take out at the Carnation Farms bridge (the feedlot hole) Short run, 1 hour straight through. No bad water, but don't forget that any river is dangerous.

Try the north fork of the lewis it is a good one to start on. Any section is ok. big water but a good place to learn. Fish on!

Try the Kalama Pritchard's / red barn down to Modrow bridge. It will challenge you a little more, but a good learning river. Plus it will force you to read the water more than the big rivers.
If you feel tired and burned in the muscles you need to read the water more and se up earlier. Try to read the water and work with it rather than fight it.

Good luck and have fun.

Huntar no offence but the kalama is to low to drift right now. I must agree that it is a fun river to drift we just need some rain.

Hope you are still open to info and advice. I too am a rookie with my drift boat. I bought a Hyde last year and love it. Keep asking "old timers". They are very helpful and willing to give safe advice on rivers to float. One big favor I did for myself was to sign up for a class on river hydraulics. I am glad I did so and am still learning but lovin' it.
Good luck and enjoy, Beaner.
