Went over to Lake Michigan to troll for nooky this weekend. Saturday morning was perfect water and weather, with fish staging at the river mouths prior to the spawning push. We trolled for about 3 hours without a touch. Changed speeds, depths, tried plugs, dodgers, and spoons. Finally I asked the question. "Does anyone happen to have a banana on this boat"? One of my buddies says " I just so happen to have one in my gear bag". I told him " Toss that sonnovab**ch out". 30 seconds after the banana hit the water, Fish on, and we ended up with 3 more fish on, in the next hour.

Trolled this morning for about 5 hours, after getting pushed off the lake for an hour due to a severe thunderstorm, we ended up with 8 in the cooler between 18 and 24 pounds. Had to book, so we could make the 6 hour trip back home. Needless to say, there were no nnaners in the boat this morning. I don't think those guys will ever bring a banana in the boat again. Thought you guys would laugh at this one. Gotta go fire up the grill. Yipee

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Yes! We have NO bananas, we have no bananas today!

Way to get that damn thing off the boat, Hawk. I knew you could sniff out an offending banana, even if buried deep in your buddy's gear bag! Sounds like terrific action......hope you're having fun.

Fish on.........

Sounds like a pretty good day. Whereabouts? PM or LM? Fished Lk Michigan this past July. Was incredible fishing. In my opinion better than AK. Got to meet Big John in person on the boardwalk in Manistee. On our best day we boated 19 fishing just off the harbor. Fished with Mark Chmura. Was the only boat in the area because the kings were out of temp. The other boats headed to the point or offshore. But Mark targetted schools of alewives and we slammed them.

We were fishing on Lake Michigan out of Manitiwoc Wisconsin. Even though we did well, it was pretty slow in comparision to what it can be. Will be heading over again in a couple of weeks to fish the rivers. That will be a "guaranteed" 40 fish per day event. Can't wait. Wil have to stop by Target and pick up some extra Alleve before I go. Will post the events of that trip, as the salmon really bring out herds of drones. later.
