I have this one as one of my "favorites". Beets looking through the pamphlet. You can print out the one page that pertains to your question or just poke through the regs. It downloads a PDF file so you need the acrobat (which is a good thing!). You can also find rule changes etc. Check It Out!

Make sure you also check with ONP if you are fishing within the park because their regs are not listed in the DFW pamphlet and are differnt from the state regs and make sure you stay of the reservation.

Local,
Any tips on when the best time to fish this river inside the park is. I have done it from the bank a few times in the middle of October and had ok success (very dark fish)one day and the next day the indians came through and drift netted the hole I was fishing to get the hens. Did see a bunch of fish spawning behind my tent up in the campground. Water was low and was pretty cool listening to them splash around while I was trying to go to fall asleep. I was thinking the last weekend of September and first weekend of October would probably be the best times. Would like to go back again but this time with my Willie. Your Thoughts.

Those Indians that came thur to get the hens was actually the tribal fisheries staff broodstocking wild coho to spawn and raise in natural ponds, to be released. The Quinaults have had good success with this program and has increased the wild run.

Hey, I said it was a great float, I did not say that I caught fish ! There are a couple of rocks just above Kings bottom that have the color of my drift boat on them. Be careful !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Local this is a prime time to go to the camp ground and head up river not to far up you can cross and take the trail up to the creek on the other side you will find some outstanding summer run fishing. If the rains come hard one more time the Queets will be loaded with large kings.
