If you can get up north, there are LOTS of coho getting caught in Area 9 (reopens 10/1) and Area 8.2 (open now).

All of the hook-ups I've had in the last couple weeks have been with herring. Others have done well with hootchies trolled deep and coho spoons.

Been doing well on two setups. 1st choice is a green hotspot and a spatterback coho killer. 2nd choice is a red hotspot with a green glow grand slam bucktail. Both fished between 55-100ft deep depending on where the schools are showing up on the fishfinder. If the fishing gets slow I'll go to my old standby a red hotspot with a white needlefish squid with a strip of herring and make sure the herring is spinning like crazy

The gaurenteed Pt. D killa is a size 1 metallic flasher (you pick the brand) and a Dr-T-Ho-Ke fly, trolled at 2.5 - 3 mph up high in the early morning and then deeper as the day gets longer. Leader length to the flasher is 31" and use the herring filets to tip it with marinated in anise and WD-40. You will have fish in the boat. A good place to target them is in the rips in front of the boat house and the slag pile. They still have some of his flies at Sportco, but the selection is gettin' thin and he's not makin' any more.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

My standard setup is red or green hotspot flasher, slip tie double hook set up with a green and white glow in the dark squid. Follow this with a strip of hering. Good luck. I'll be out there sat if the wind stays down!

Believe in Obywon-Salmonhead...I do
and I would recomend using the solid tie over the slider,I've had that top hook slide down and take them both off ...just my.02
