Forget the Chehalis as of Noon today the Indians put there nets in for the next (3) days out (1) back in for (3).

Thanks slammer. Are they netting all the way down to the mouth? Just wondering if we can get a crack at them before they get to the nets.

They are netting all the way out in the bay area..

Fished from Barrier to Mission yesterday and saw one fish caught(no not mine). Heard via the river grapevine that the fish are still near Castle Rock and Toutle.

Better luck lower in the river I guess

Fished I-5 to Mouth of Toutle Saturday with Kalamabama. We caught two "harvest trout". (fin clipped cutthroat) on shrimp divers. They swallowed it to the stomach, poor little fish. The silvers had lockjaw all weekend (for me at least!) Saw very few fish caught for the amount of people fishing (or snagging!)

For a fun work out try rowing back up across the mouth of the Toutle from the bar below. Better eat two bowls of Wheaties for that one!

PS How do you get to the launch at Olikwa?

guts Its the first exit on I-5 Before the I-5 bridge going north or the first exit after the bridge going south, exit to the right you will see Texaco truck stop turn left on the i think barnes rd? anyway take that rd for about 3 miles turn right sharp turn go 100 yds turn left this is a dead end at the ramp i lanch on the gravel bar because the ramp has a back eddy.Bob

If you do that float again launch at Olequa and float down to the gravel bar at Camelot, it's below the bridge in Castle Rock that crosses the Cow. All the action right now is below the mouth of the Toutle.
